Denis „Sickness“ Buchinger – the playmaker of our League of Legends Austria team, as well as the team´s backup Mid Laner. A diamond in the rough straight out of Solo Queue, Denis joined the team midway through its inaugural season of existence, making a name for himself as one of the most dangerous Solo carries in Austria. With persistent mechanical finesse, on top of a goofy personality and a certain playboy character, he fulfils the role of the “clown” of the team, bringing happiness and jokes to every round of League. Adding to that is a controlled amount of cockiness, aiding him to strive for even more mechanical prowess and on-the-rift knowledge. In-game, Sickness is a highly mechanical player who easily punishes mistakes in lane to gain momentum and accelerate the game, mostly through exceptional roaming and spot-on map awareness. Despite his lack in experience when it comes to team environments, Denis quickly learns the ins and outs of coordinated play, becoming increasingly vocal in the team´s rotational play. The most prevalent feature he brings to the team is his choice of champions: In contrast to our other Mid Laner, Chewes, who prefers DPS and control mages, Denis pivots towards champs like Katarina or Diana to seal the deal for his team, being probably one of the most prolific Assassin players. However, that does not mean that the rest of the mid lane pool drew the short straw. On the contrary: give this man Cassiopeia or any other DPS-heavy mage, he will top the damage charts in no time.
Moreover, Sickness´ play style is pretty aggressive, pushing his champion to the absolute limit and outplaying foes left, right and center. Said playstyle was infamously dubbed “Rein in die Olga” by himself and his teammates, becoming a running gag whenever he looks for a big play. In spite of the fact that he now plays under the FieryTale banner, Denis stays true to his past, grinding out solo Queue every single day, whenever he can and whenever he is not practicing with the team. Sickness began playing League of Legends in Season 6, finishing his first competitive experience in the depths of Bronze. However, he rose to greater heights every season, finishing season 9 in diamond and looking to show everyone that he can achieve even more in season 10. Speaking of the devil, said season 10 is going to be the year in which Sickness will try to prove his skills with FieryTale Esports to part take in the prestigious A1 League, contesting for one of only a select few spots. On top of that, he is determined to conquer LANs and online tournaments in Austria alike.
